Total years? Maybe 6-7. Learned to shoot as a teenager on an old Minolta body with a manual light meter, upgraded to an AE-1 in the late 1990s. Did darkroom stuff, etc. then forgot about the hobby for many years. Picked it up again about 5 years ago.

Primarily into landscapes, but macro is fun too.
$$ invested fluctuates, but it's usually around $2500. I like to experiment, so I'll sometimes sell everything and jump into a new system.
I hate all camera brands, as they intentionally hobble gear to preserve product lines and sell units. Most established brands make good products (with some exceptions). Solely invested in Canon gear atm due to a few favorite lenses on the platform.

Hobbyist with no aspirations of going pro. Only elites are well-treated in aesthetic industries. Everyone else is inherently underpaid and undervalued.
I've sold photos, shot a few weddings for friends, and done the odd event shoot, but I haven't made more than $5k over the years.
Definitely whoever snagged the pic of that monkey getting his nuts racked. Luck, and skill.

Define 'decent'. It's been about a month since I dragged the kit bag and tripod out somewhere.
