It wasn't a curated selection, and therefore has about as much value as an RPT. The people on the board that care about their photos didn't want to have them sit alongside trash, and mostly didn't submit.
The submissions got posted in the book thread, they were, of course, garbage, and as a result there wasn't enough collective willpower to make the book happen. Just some bleating newfags who wanted their macro keyboard shots "C&C'd".
Hopefully this year there will be an attempt to make a book someone would want to look at, rather than some everyonegetsaprize participation award kindergarten art show.
