>>4281441>and shoot Jpeg onlyKeep in mind that shooting jpeg only (as in, without keeping raw on the device at all) prevents you from using postprocessing/raw conversion with Q menu. Once you set presets, jpeg only mode will shoot and save photos processed through settings from camera menu.
>isoX-trans 3 is pretty neat in that regard, especially given its age. Even at extended iso settings it's still more or less doing its best to handle colors in the least painful way, and then whenever you don't like the outcome, acros b&w makes high iso noise pretty much nice to look at. I'm keeping auto iso at 6400 and I rarely feel like I'm making a mistake by doing that.
On topic of iso, I've also upgraded recently, and I'm also enjoying high iso handling in X-T2 quite a lot. Just came back from the walk and took a photo that's kinda a throwaway, but I really like the fact that it was shot at iso 25600 and then pushed +3ev (iso 204800?), yet it's not completely unusable. Sure, there's zero detail on it, but there's no specific sensor noise pattern either. A nice upgrade from my old X-T1 that had a huge glowing spot at the bottom anywhere above iso 6400.
