>>3338482for me 3600dpi is the sweet spot for 35mm, though i tend to scan most shots at 2400 because there's nothing in particular I need much detail for.
3600dpi results in a 50mb tif while 2400dpi is around 20mb.
Since I started scanning I now have 42GB of photos, and thats just 1989-1995. Still to come 1996-2005
pic related is a highly reduced image but i can do a 100% crop if you really curious about the quailty from the scanner
