However in the 70's that 24-35/3.5 was amazing simply for existing, not for any particular optical prowess.
And when the standard FD 24/2.8 and 35/2.8 are so fucking good, literally some of the sharpest lenses I own, and stacked on top of each other would still be smaller than that zoom, it seems silly to spend money on one.
Same with the 24/1.4L. You would probably buy a Sigma 24/1.4 Art and an EOS body to shoot it on for less than that, and if you wanted 24/1.4 on film, that's what I'd suggest you do.
