>>3405886It's a mix of both. Sometimes I start a hike in the dark and then find a composition in the predawn dim light. Sometimes I'm at an area for several days and find compositions a day ahead of time and remember where they are so I can return. Sometimes I even happen to camp really close to where I want to shoot, like when I'm backpacking.
