>Why do we make pictures?
We want to show something we have experienced to others.
>Why art?
Art is stylised communication. We want to express an image, an idea or an emotion to others, and we do that in a manner that we find appealing, but believe that others will understand and perhaps appreciate.
We enjoy vicarious experiences because we can compare our own understanding of what is being communicated to how others experience it.
>Why life?
Because experiencing the universe is an available option. You are an animal - you're purpose is to fuck, sleep, eat and shit. You have arrived in reality at a time and in a form which allows you to question *why* you exist. Thats an unusual feature - in fact it is anomalous, because life has no inherent meaning. It's what happens when tiny mechanisms between interacting elements are allowed to run out of control. There is no reason for why you are alive. Just have fun - you have been given a chance to see the universe, like a small wave in the sea you will rise and fall back into the massive and eternal. So take a chance to look around before you go. If you're lucky you might even be the wave that makes it.
