>>4092878>>4092795Theres definetly still a lot of romanticism attached to it here in Czechoslovakia aswell. Besides the trainspotting community of ppl like me, where you could debate about our mental well being, normal people too do know nicknames of somewhat well known locomotives, like old station buildings, like to ride trains. Not really trainfans either, just normal people, enjoying themselves. Lots of media like books, films etc. revolve around events happening on the railways somehow.. it can really be quite heartwarming sometimes. And yeah, freight is nice for us trainspotters, useless if you cant move people with that same railway though. :P Which is why I really dont envy americans at all, must be tough out there if you dont wanna be stuck with a car in a traffic jam 24/7.
