>>3784697That shot was taken on color negative film, which looks like pretty much nothing when you first develop it so you have to "invert" it to a positive image. So I meant that it was just a rather straightforward inversion with no tricky editing done to it to enhance anything. That's one thing I love about color negatives is they can be quite bright and punchy without being fake. Loud was a good way to put it.

Often when backpacking I'm already using one of the widest usable large format lenses (75mm), in order to get a similar focal length on 6x9 (which is a gross aspect ratio so I'd crop to 6x7 and waste more film) I'd have to shoot with some ridiculously wide large format lens that doesn't exist - or if it does would be such a pain to use on a 4x5 camera. Also, yeah I like the big sheets more.
