>>3626403Any kind of forest during noon is hard as fuck. You're talking extremely high dynamic ranges. Photographing isolated trees, you can look for clearings, or you can eliminate blown highlights as much as you can by framing around them. You can use wide apertures and near subject to turn them into specular highlights, or you can just put them out of the frame completely.
Alternatives are HDR, or just shooting at different times of day. Mornings and evenings usually work fine on clear days.
