The Russian made ones have the greatest smell. You won't understand unless you had one. The focusing system is a lever with four distances and it's brilliant. Aperture can be manually selected for flash photography (shutter fixes at 1/60), but syncs at all speeds. Mechanical problems can be fixed easily. The 80's slavshit circuitry is nigh immortal and won't give you trouble. Metering system is ridiculously simple but it just werks, and you can even compensate exposure with the ASA/GOST dial. The lens lets you cram a teensy bit more in than a 35mm will let you, but still "points" like a 35mm or 50mm does.
The Chinese made + versions can take up to 1600 ASA film, but at the cost of the flash aperture selection feature.
Not as pocketable as the Olympus XA, but feels much nicer. Don't worry about the exposure, the Lomo will nail it every time. Just focus, frame, and shoot.
