>>3299704Thanks! I wanted to get more buildings, but I had strong lights facing me and I had to cut them off.
>>3299759> What does it take to get a lightning in a picture? I used tripod and 1 s delay to remove the camera shake. At first I thought 30 s and ISO 100 will be good, since lightnings are so bright but I was wrong - I coud barely see them. I got some results with 10 s exposure and ISO 640 - it was enough to bring the histogram to the middle.
As for technique, I was just taking 10 s exposures one after another and out of ~90 photos I got 5 with lightnings and
>>3299689 was the one I liked the most. Definitely a lot of luck was involved.
In postpro I lowered the exposure by a stop and then some, increased the highlights and dropped the shadows even more. Slight Lightroom's dehaze did a good job in bringing the lightning out.
Next time I'll try to get closer to proper ETTR, I was facing more industrial part of town and light pollution was strong, like the bottom left.
