Pressing a button isn't art. A good photo isn't a source of artistic pride for me if it comes from that method. Because the method itself is uncreative. You know what's funny? Winogrand himself realized this, he told his students to take more pictures to increase the odds of getting good ones. His whole philosophy is relying on flukes and rolling the dice so many times you're basically guaranteed to get some. I'm sharing my own experience.
If I wanted to stroke my ego I'd say I make Newton tier photographs, but then I'd be lying.
