You know, I kind of predicted this twice over the years.
The first time was when RF mount was 1½ years old, and yet it only had 2 Samyang lenses.
The second time was a year later and nothing changed.

A few individuals on /p/ argued against me.
But I kind of instinctively knew something seemed off when Sigma was capable of mount-swapping their entire batch of Art primes in 1 fell swoop, and yet Samyang was stuck after just 2 lenses.

Smartphone makers are commissioning a ridiculous amount of sensor designs.And then they discard them after use.
It's almost like a piece of clothe to them.

In 2019 they have 1 set of sensors.
In 2020 they discard yesteryears sensor, forgets it exists, and acquire new sensor.
Literally like wearing your clothes once and discarding them.

Meanwhile camera makers have to make do with the same sensors generation after generation.

It's weird to be on E-mount bruhs.

On one hand you get the nice feeling of privilege when you see Tamron and Sigma bidding you tons of lenses.

On the other hand it's so cringe to watch Sony piss away the leadership they build up over the years like retards.
At this rate we will be "lucky" if we even see 3 lenses released from Sony this year.
It's almost as if the CEO and his managers have fucked off to some vacation island, and randomly told the lens developers to get furloughed.

I'm indecisive about that zoom vs the 24GM.

The 24GM is 450 gram.
The zoom is 800 gram, which is impressive compared to the original dslr version (1150 gram).

So while the zoom is really light for what it is, the prime lens is still half the weight and qualify as the better walk around lens.
