At 8fps, it's no slug even when compared to modern cameras.
I've only found it lacking twice: no live view for overhead shooting at crowded events and no custom modes for quick recall.
I was thinking of getting a 1D MkII so I can dedicate the Mark I to macro shooting.
How's the 1Ds MkII?
I dislike my 1Ds Mk1; it takes great pictures, but the Digic 1 processor is too slow to handle the 11.1MP files and becomes unresponsive for several seconds after just one shot.
