Could never sell it, mind. Whomever buys it on eBay would shit a brick if they opened it and found a bunch of the ball bearings had gone missing from the mount, and that the bushings are made from cut pieces of 'mystery plastic'.

I think most of the ruined bushes are from morons using the wrong lubricant when they service the lens which eats the plastic.

And as much as it's a shitty fix, it actually seems to work. It's holding focus in the zoom and seems to go to infinity now. It's too dark out to be sure.

Still cost me 200 quid from eBay. Probably should've gotten it back.

Having not learnt my lesson, I've the 35-105mm F3.5 on the way too.
