>>3259491Oh man, this recessed "wide angle" pinhole cap has been a real bitch to make correctly. The seating of the cap into the camera wasn't too much of a problem with the mirror, but it also touched the aperture arm which I had to "fix". The pinhole itself took me about 15-20 tries to get about as perfect as possible. I used aluminum foil and poked a strip of holes then took photos of them laid beside the millimeter measurements on my calipers. Then I used Photoshop to line the holes up, count the pixels in 1mm and the pixels across the hole to calculate the diameter of the hole. In the end, the hole needed to be 0.248mm wide for 34.5mm/34.6mm focal length. According to my calculations the hole is 0.008mm from being exactly 0.248mm.
It is amazing that through the entire process I managed to only get one giant goober on the sensor.
