You will be shading most subjects with the camera and lens itself if you have the lens close enough to actually get a 1:1 reproduction ratio, so you'd be either using it at lower magnification most of the time or specifically using that lens for both the perspective distortion and the magnification. Are you aware that you can get perspective distortion with other wide angle lenses as long as they have relative close focusing capability? For example, like pic related, which was taken with a lens that only has a max magnification of about 0.3x.
