There are many low-light scenarios, especially with IBIS, where I want to take a photo at apertures beyond f/1.8 but still need to use autofocus.
They should just remove the AF assist lamp/Low-Light AF too, if it's their philosophy that "you shouldn't be trying to take a photo in areas that dark".
Besides, they include an option to disable "Apply Settings to Live View", but it doesn't let you turn off essentially trying to use the camera with a DOF Preview button held down at all times?
The image I posted from Rockwell also contradicts that this is "normal" behavior or a design feature.
Admittedly, he may be wrong as he often is, but he outright states "The diaphragm opens and closes automatically for each shot so it's open for precise focusing."
The FTZ adapter has an aperture indexing tab right there that should be used for this purpose.
