>>3228262>>3228485most of time, the only combination I use is
> rodinal> 1:200 stand-developmentshadow detail is amazing, highlights won't blown ever, the S curve gets very long and smooth, most negatives came out clear and good to print directly on grade paper (which I use mostly, foma)
my favorite films for these are:
> rollei 80s (135/120)very peculiar film, goes well into IR frequencies, most of time act likes you were using a orange filter
grain is on par with modern t-grain film
> fuji acros (120)arguably the best all round film ever made
smooth af, orthopanchromatic, long af tones scale
since rollei 80s will bring out red, while acros get them darker, I usually pick the film according to the tones I want bring out on determined subjects
despite that, I got a whole lot of ilford film for very cheap so I'll be using that for a while kek
btw, stand-developing is usually cursed with speed gains
on mid to slow emulsions like acros or 80s, the gain is about 1/3 to 2/3 of a stop
on more flexible emulsions, like kodak tx400, you can even push it to 2 or 3 WHOLE stops with great results
so there's that if you like to shoot indoors
pic related, fuji acros shot on pentax 6x7, 105mm f2.4, handheld, at sunset
