I like that onions, basket and peppermill are yellow, and organic packaging purple. Bw+complementary. I'd place them differently so that lines between similar colors cross each other, and slightly desaturate left jar to simplify further. Elements form an oval around the garlic, I'd have kept it in focus. Upper left has brighter triangle, but still feels empty.
>>3410028You could describe how you took the photo, how you go about to get expressions. It might be helpful for socially challenged people, a-hem.
Also color restricted palette. Without grading? There's some green in the window frame. It cuts behind his neck and the wall looks like it's resting on the top of his head, which I find annoying.
>>3410029You can post existing shots when thread needs bumping.
>>3410196No probs, I need a pretext to get out of my cave as anybody else. Godspeed you, anon, post dem shotz.
>>3409742Hello again manzanita. After 600000+ shots you'll probably find these comments inane, but maybe someone else might find something in it.
I'd crop just a bit lower down the forehead.
>>3410312Diagonals alright, but it could be even more so. The road is still straight on. I chose this assignment as a continuation of off-center, to get to pictures that have an apparently loose feeling.
>>3410316More of an architectural detail than a landscape. But whatever, the guidelines were arbitrarily chosen anyway. Same for previous. How would you tame that bright light? I have a similar problem and don't know how to solve it.
3 out of 4 and week one isn't even over. I'll have to cook something more difficult next month.
>>3410323Once I open the image my attention all goes to the girl's profile. It's a bright, well defined shape surrounded by darker areas. Lower left feels empty, even if it has the bright line leading to the guy. It might be a good thing, not sure.
