Typically however with video you'd set your shutter speed to essentially 'double' what your frame rate is for what most consider a normal or average motion blur. So if you're shooting 24fps, set it at 1/48 (or 1/50 pending camera), 30fps > 1/60, 48fps > 1/96, 60fps > 1/120, etc. The more you over or undercrank your shutter when shooting video the more or less motion blur you'll have. So if you're shooting a video just lock your shutter speed and forget about it unless you change your frame rate. Get your exposure by changing your aperture or iso.
>>3287617I work at a rental house/ non-profit. We're not like Panavision or WFW or anywhere close to that size but we have quite a bit of gear. Technically I don't get free rentals, I get 10% of my wage as credit essentially, and any work outside of my normal hours is either banked to take days off or to use as credit on gear. So to a degree its free gear. As far as jobs go, I've met a lot of people through work who've I've gotten jobs from. I've volunteered on some films and have gotten paid gigs. Last job I worked on through someone I've met through work I was best boy electric on a small feature. So jobs do pop by my here and there, but desu I don't get LOTS of jobs out of it because I work here nearly full time.
>>3286552You can now find some pretty damn good deals on used Epic MX-s, and can even find an Alexa EV Classic for like 10-15k now. Seen some Epics Dragons go for small packages around 20k too. For a solid MX package you can find one for like 12-15k USD and then with the remaining 5k could go for some of the Sigmas.
