Yeah I bought a really cheap wide angle + macro lens for my smartphone and been playing around with it. Works alright. Wide angle isn't as wide as I thought but it does work and without distortion.
Don't know much about photography and cameras but I find it strange that the wide angle lens needs the macro lens to work. Although macro can work by itself.
The outside facing lens is 58mm thread and the inside facing lens is 37mm thread, and I was planning on getting a cheap 58mm thread CPL filter. I read it's better to step-up than to step-down because there could be black borders on the outside of the image.
