>>4077810>what makes it goodthe fact that it's good, what a dumb question
>what is artwhatever has internal consistency, where structures are finely organized in a way that makes sense
>red picthat's questionable because of multiple reasons, including but not limited to the following:
it's a portrait of a young girl but she doesn't look very good
the framing is off because you're cutting part of the bouquet out, either frame the shot wider or tell the subject to drop it, ideally the former because the bouquet fits with the rest of the outfit
the framing is also off because the subject, which is the only thing in the picture, isn't centered; notice how mostly every beauty picture, portrait, selfie... has the subject dead center
you might want to leave some space on one side if the subject's moving, but with still subjects without a background you're just making the frame look like it was moved by accident
the whole outfit looks very naturalistic, for lack of a better word, but the subject has a microphone in her hand, which clashes with that aesthetic very much
it's not like it's a shit picture, the red light and the fact that there's no background are nice devices
>>4077811this looks somewhat picturesque, though aside from the candlelight aesthetic there's quite literally nothing to look at, there's no pattern in the color, shape, size or placement of the lights, it's only above a snapshit because you made the effort of lighting and holding a candle
>>4078046much too busy for an architectural shot, see pic related
the clouds on top detract from the contrast between the building and the sky, there's a hell of a lot of shadows, many of which don't follow the shape of any building, the flag on the left adds some more curve lines, and there's not ONE vertical line
>I used aperture priority but my pictures came out blurrywhy didn't you use shutter priority then?
>my normal setup isoh god this is the stupidest and most naive thing I've read on /p/ this week
