>>3160488I use a 6D almost exclusively for landscapes. I shoot some other shit too. In my experience the AF is workable, though I don't require much of it. I've tried shooting a few birds and had some good and bad results. Missed some excellent eagle shots due to it but eh, I knew that when I bought it. If focus and recompose is something you like then it's not terrible. I have no experience with the 5D3. Spending less money on camera and more on going places is very rewarding. Worth seriously considering in my opinion when buying new gear.
