Recently I wanted to get into /p/ so I dug out my father's old SLR, the only decent camera I have (pic related, never used the big lens). I've been through only two rolls of film, using them in the last two trips I did. The first roll was a Kodak Color Plus, the second was a Fuji something, both ISO 200, and I've noticed the Fuji yielded better results, although the light conditions weren't quite the same.
My biggest problem while shooting was having to either underexpose or lower the shutter speed (the camera has an automatic aperture-priority setting that shows the shutter speed it's going to use or the suggested speed), so many pictures turned out to be either too dark or blurred due to camera shake; it seemed to me like I needed the power output of a supernova in order to take good photos. In the meantime my gf's Nikon D7500 managed to capture perfectly clear shots in almost total darkness. To be clear, I managed to get good shots too, with great results, but I'd like to increase my good to bad shots ratio, also considering it costs me around 30€ to make 72 photos.
Do you have any suggestions? I was thinking about buying some other lens with bigger aperture if they don't cost a kidney and a liver, because I can't find rolls with higher ISO (at humane prices), and for now I've bought another pair of that Kodak rolls because they were relatively cheap (something less than 4€ a piece).
