>>4058810I used Dehancer on a previous film and was very pleased with the results. I've tried many other plugins and was always disappointed by how they could get so close, but still be so glaringly fake. I spent years compositing in grain scans, finding just the right level of everything, and it rekt my computer with so many seperate layers of shit that I wouldn't even know what image I had until I exported. Compared to that, Dehancer at least runs. Film emulation is a serious bitch, but it can look really good. I wish more TV and film would commit to the imperfections of it instead of just adding a touch of grain and calling it "retro." Can't smudge that 26K Omega HD image, though. It's really fucking important that we be able to make out the pores on some asshole's forehead.
