Shitty pic but using it as an example.
I had a roll of Velvia 50 in my camera for about 6 months. The first half roll was shot, then the 6 months passed, then I finished it. My excuse being that I was using another camera and finally went back to this one.
The first half roll is a bit faded/fogged like in pic related, and it’s not the worst one. The colors look like Portra 160 or even more muted, not Velvia. In person the slide looks fogged. Is this due to an imperceptible light leak or because Velvia lost the latent image through temperature changes and spending too much time undeveloped? I’ve heard slide film keeps the latent image much shorter than consumer negative film, which can keep for many decades.
My camera is light tight from what I can tell, and this seems to affect the whole frame, not just a small piece of it.
