i live in a small town. had my photographs bought by a big museum
2 years ago and also by the province art archive.
they never exhibited it though.
then i got invited by a publisher who publish photographic books only.
they're not a private publisher but get support by the gov.
currently i left thousands of photographs there so they can select and produce a dummy book
so we can show it to the gov/district/city and and get fundings by them to produce.
the galleries (also belonging and being supported by gov) in my town are all connected with eachother and they're all led by woke
grumpy feminists. They rather exhibite females (because females are minorities right)
or their closest friends or some meaningless contemporary art about "muh weird political views & armpit hair"
yeah they refuse to publish my work matterfact just recently they had a project about street photography and invited a group of different artists to contribute, not me.
you see the backs of the people with a 90mm lens and 99% walls & concrete
anyways, time to find some stuff to sell online, got 128€ on my account left.
don't get me wrong, i wish i could make money off my photography but that was never never my main object. i only wish i could exhibite just once and that would be it.
sorry for demotivations but it's hard
