I do light hiking for nature photography but also shooting sports, and I'd like a day pack that could handle both, because I'd like to start shooting photos at both. Basically it would let me load up a water bottle, first aid kit, tripod, and camera plus 2 lenses up as high as possible, away from the heavy shit at the bottom of the backpack. The heavy shit at bottom would alternate between lots of boxes of ammo or a compass, binos, GPS, and weather radio.
I was looking at the Case Logic DCB-309, but I suspect that's not going to hold up around mesquite trees or for general range use either. Do you guys have any ideas?
