>>3178751Ok figured it out. I had disabled the "mismatch color profile" setting when copying your image, and your image was saved as AdobeRGB, so Photoshop fucked up the colors without letting me know there was an issue.
Just a bonus tip, it's good to always convert to sRGB when you're going to put something online. Some browsers don't support AdobeRGB and so your image will look different depending on the browser it's viewed in. If you convert to sRGB, it'll look the same to everyone. The way I save for web is file > export > save for web (making sure the "convert to sRGB" box is ticked). It's also easy to resize for 4chan here, because you just put 1000 pixels in whichever box has the largest dimension.
Anyways, here's the desaturated highlights I was trying to show you with the earlier edit. They do make the highlight transitions appear harsher, so you have to plan for that during the d&b stage. Imo it does help the image's color look cleaner, as saturated highlights tends to read as a color cast problem.
