My Sureshot Supreme was just generally soft, a total pain to defeat flash, ate fucking 2CR5's for breakfast (which you need a phillips head screwdriver to change) heaps of shutter lag and weighed a tonne. Almost every other prime lensed model they released just stripped features and dumbed down to "your mum can literally use this now" levels of basic.
If you want to avoid meme tax and still get a great prime-lensed compact, look for Pentax PC models. Probably the sharpest of all of my compacts besides the Fuji HD-M (which was a $400 camera when new) and still dirt cheap, take AA's.
