I was playing with the scanners aperture function, which a scanner tech explained that stopping the aperture all the way down resolves all the grain better. I think the guy was a bit obsessed with grain though and I will be scanning with the default aperture in the future as it's too much for my taste.
You can see there's a ton of additional detail, but the grain is too sharp. I'll be rescanning this one again next time I load up a drum with roll film. I'll post more crops perhaps tomorrow, I'm not kidding these files practically blow up my computer, I can't even have a web browser open during file saving and such.
