I sat on my hands for years not pursuing a passion for myself and watched people I hate have their parents buy them a $1k digital camera and all of a sudden they have a portraiture business and all of their shots have shit focus and lighting.
I decided that if I could recognize what a bad image was I might as well do my best to make good shots for my own sake.
Ive had a polaroid for a few years and bought a 35mm at the end of last year. just got a scanner and Im working towards getting developement equipment. so far I'm nearing the first 1000 dollars in for just film equipment but Im enjoying the process.
If you are in it for money, film isnt the way to go until you develop your skillset. If you stick around though, there is alot of cool stuff to learn.
