The cameras they use for TV and cinema are almost always super 35 (APS-C equivalent) or smaller, 1/2.7" is a popular format. And 1/2.7" doesn't even mean the diagonal of the sensor, it's the diameter of the glass tube that used to hold the sensors in the analog era. The actual sensor is even smaller.
