can someone help me with my autism please and make sure im not missing something:
there was a scene i took photos of that was really important, but i havent got it developed yet. i took the photos at f2.8 (perhaps some at f4) at 1/125th on fomapan 200. this gives me an EV of 9. i metered the scene and it was about 8.3 (8 to be on the safe side) and it was low contrast (highest EV is probably 9-10, lowest is maybe 6). i dont care about blowing any highlights at all. my settings mean i was underexposing by 1 stop (equivalent to pretending it was 400 speed).
EV 7 (zone 3 at original exposure) + normal development = density just below 1
EV 6 (zone 3 at underexposed) + pushed development (1 stop) = ~0.75 density (looking at density chart)
so therefore EV 6 will be slightly lower density (which im fine with), EV 7 will be higher density (than developing normally)
and since its a low contrast scene, should i be able to develop this even at 2 stops? i may have shot some at f4 as well, but there was one specific frame at f2.8 which i dont want to fuck up
