>>3249641Someone's been posting Harry Gruyaert in the Kodachrome thread, see those examples as "limited hue palette". I personally haven't found a way to replicate this other than painting in gradient masks set to "hue" mix
>>3246612>>3246611>>3246610>>3246608>>3248907I use pic related, it's just a tool for generating luminosity masks. I also included the curve it uses for the top "M" mask. If you didn't know you can make a linear luminosity mask from the current layer by pressing ctrl+alt+2. So with a midtone mask you would decrease vibrance, increase saturation. Then I invert it and increase vibrance and decrease saturation in the shadows/midtones. Vibrance affects luminosity contrast with the colors and I find it tends to "bunch together" the color more. we've had a discussion in previous threads about how film (especially in the highlights and shadows) tends to have "flat" color instead of blowing out, so I find this helps with non-clipped colors.
also try using a luminosity mask to block out the shadows and then decrease contrast only in the upper midtones to the highlights, I find this helps with highlight rolloff in general
