I put the idea in my head that if these people are going to book a $100 photoshoot then they know what to do in terms of poses. One couple wanted candid photos as their main thing so I would lead them to the spots then let them wander around and do their thing while I took photos from a distance. Usually most of the poses the people do are alright and they only want these photos to post on their IG or Facebook anyway. But if I see something seriously wrong or awkward, I just remember the kinds of poses my girlfriend does and tell them to pose like that cause I know it looks decent.
