I have a 5D Mk2 and a 50mm plastic fantastic. It's the only EF lens I've got. I've been shooting with it, and nothing else, for about three years now.
I'm looking to get my hands on a 24-70mm for more flexibility. I'll use it at 70mm for portraits, at 24 for wide-angle shots (like concert photography), and in-between whenever it's appropriate.
I'd like a couple suggestions from y'all.
1: what lenses do you recommend? I have my eye on a used copy of the original Canon L but am on a tight budget.
2: what lights do you recommend? I'm taking a cinematography class this semester. I previously worked only with natural light and a flash; now I want to buy some studio lights.
LEDs? Tungstens? I'd like two big lights and something small as a hair light or kicker.
