The original what? NEX-3/5? They were neat, but pretty terrible cameras.

The a6000 is a $400 camera with the features of a $1000+ one. It can also adapt pretty much every lens ever made.

It is a fantastic deal and a great starter body.

~24mp is the sweetspot for a modern sensor. You have no real light loss compared to a ~16mp from a few years ago.

Combine that with Sony's OSS lenses and IBIS bodies and it us a pretty solid setup.

Also, we have gear threads, post there next time.

I had a red NEX-3, the OS on it was really, really terrible.

But damn did I love that little thing.
