Art can be bad or good, what makes it art is the creative force it demands. If you just wander the streets taking pictures you're not an artist, you're closer to a thief of fleeting moments. If that word offends you (even though I meant it in a poetic rather than an insulting way) then you could say you're merely registering what happens around you. Pic related is art. You may think it's bad, but you can't honestly deny it's art. Because it was made, not simply taken.

Trying to be cool would be accurate, but it's the opposite of selling out.
Some of the coolest photography is fashion. Some of the coolest photographers shot for Vogue or Harper's Bazaar at some point.
