>>4058409Gonna be real on two points here (been an Oly pen epl8 user for a long time now):
The longer™ zoom lenses - especially the 40-150 - aren't all that small honestly. They are light but not small. That being said: you're getting a 80-300mm range out of that package so... Yeah that's fine.
The other thing: Bokeh is 100% sufficient tbqh. I've been using a lot of manual vintage lenses and a Panasonic 50mm 1.8 mft lens and never felt like the dof wasn't shallow enough. Pic related was taken with a 50mm 1.8 canon FD lens @ about f/4-ish.
I can confirm that the low light performance isn't great. Pushing beyond iso 800 is something I didn't often do. Sometimes I did operate at iso 1600 f/8 during the day to run and gun and while the pictures didn't turn out to be pixel peeper material they were still usable.
I think Oly and mft in general gets a lot of shit by people who a) can't imagine using any other gear than the one they have atm b) people who are more interested in specs than in the act of taking photos and/ or c) people who generally never even used a mft camera.
