Thoughts on selective coloring for convention photos? I know selective coloring is generally frowned upon and seen as dangerously cheesy. But I feel that in this case it helps a lot with isolating the subject from the messy background. At conventions the stuff going on in the background is very hard to control and simply moving to a less crowded/nicer spot isn't always an option. Original photo has those distracting yellow banners/curtains on the wall for example. I was thinking of editing all my future convention photos to look like this. Would this be in poor taste or should I go for it?
