First time poster/complete photography nub here, so forgive my ignorance pls.
I recently found a stash of my grandfather's Canon AE-1 gear, including a few FD lenses. I found an adapter online that converts from FD to EF for $20, so I can stick the FD lenses on my good ole' Rebel SL1 (bc poor). I've gotta say there is something very rewarding about using an old manual lens. The one i've been using mainly is a Canon 50mm f/1.8, and I love it. The amount of clarity it adds to a picture over the shit kit lens I've been using is astounding. I mainly stick to cars as my subject (I.E. cars & coffee and such), and 50mm is just too zoomed of a lens to use in that scenario, so I've been thinking about grabbing either a 28MM/f2.8 FD lens. Here's a picture I grabbed today with the 50mm.
