>>3299314Konishiroku Pearl III, the smallest, fully featured medium format folding camera. Produced in 1956, 35mm camera sales had cannibalised medium format with the exception of system cameras. Its successor is more refined (die cast) but bulkier. The Pearl III has a coupled combined rangefinder/viewfinder, coated (from MX version onward recomputed) Tessar-type Hexanon 75mm f/3.5 lens, film auto wind, and cost me only $200 + shipping. Mine's turning up from Japan imminently - it just arrived at customs according to the parcel tracking. As you can see from the picture, it's smaller in stature (although taller) than 35mm system cameras, and verges on actual "compact" territory. Still, it'll fit in a jacket pocket. Irritatingly it doesn't have strap lugs on the camera body, only on the leather case.
