Looks like she instead pointed the flash straight forward for the Stofen and upwards for the Lightsphere.
They are both omnibounces and they work in the exact same way: send light in all directions so you get bounce from all walls plus ceiling.
Stofen is just more compact and a little more directional (which is generally a good thing since that gives you some more control).
