Just got my first 4x5 positive back so thought I would give my thoughts on the Intrepid so far.
Overall really impressed with it, the body, a lens and two backs weighs less than my Hasselblad system and yet the build quality is pretty consistently good. The movements are restricted though, so shooting with foreground will require lots of stopping down in addition to tilt, and tilt plus shift is quite limited. Had a couple of issues to begin with, including a broken front tilt/shift knob and loose ground glass screws which resulted in broken glass. However as I live just down the road from the Intrepid guys I took it in and they fixed it all up for me, they were super nice about it. Ground glass protector and a fresnel screen I’d say are absolutely essential for using this. Also make sure to check your corners for full coverage, as you can see from pic related I failed to notice a little vignetting in the top left. Overall though, brilliant camera and super easy to use if you’re coming from a medium format system camera.
