and i only bought my k1ii because it was <$1000, I sold my KF for $300, and I didn't wanna have to get a bunch of new lenses + wanted the ultimate in pentaxes. i figured i'd be spending $700 to upgrade to FF and it would sate my GAS without switching entirely to mirrorless sony/nikon ($1500 a7iv or z6iii, personally like the sonys more since they have good minolta/pentax af adapters)
i find the ff sensor a upgrade over apsc only because im using way lower iso (100-400, at most 1600) to shoot pics i'd need at least 2-3x the same iso setting. however its kinda dumb with the auto modes, i really have to shoot sensitivity priority and manually set iso if i want a picture i like, otherwise it'll default to like 3200 iso if its not bright and sunny out.
the AF is still horrible, mid at best compared to literally any mirrorless, probably worse than a canonikon dslr. you can probably find a k-3-iii for <$1200, they're super rare im convinced pentax sold probably <3-5000 worldwide some ridiculous number because you see 5x the amount of k1s go up for sale.
remember ricoh in 2020+ is not interested in selling cameras other than grs, even the gr4 is just a k3mk3 sensor in a compact body.
