Over the weekend my dumb ass dropped my Spotmatic F from a low height. Thankfully everything on the camera (including the lens) survived EXCEPT the fucking light meter. Now the needle just stays at the bottom no matter what.
I sent an email to a local repair shop that says they fix Spotmatics, but I got a one-sentence reply back that literally reads "sorry parts no longer available."
Do I just give up on fixing this thing and buy a new SLR? I really love this camera but I'm not an electrical engineer, and after removing the top cover and seeing no obviously disconnected wires or broken parts I'm at a loss. Also, is this repair guy just being a dick or is there really nobody left in this world who can fix Spotmatics?
