dude photographed the architectural work of Chicago architects Adler & Sullivan before it fell to pointless demolishing and didn't afraid of anything. He photographed what interested him about them while still retaining some documentative integrity. In the end he died in a staircase collapse, and was found a few weeks later.
While he risked his life for a fairly pointless endeavour his dedication and absolute love for something through photography isn't something I've seen matched by any other photographer.
